You can travel to Türkiye with controlled drugs for personal use if you carry your original prescription, a signed doctor's letter, and the medication in its original labeled packaging.

Essential Documents & Rules

• Original Prescription: Must show your name, active generic ingredients, and prescribed dosage.
• Doctor's Letter: Signed on official clinic letterhead by your prescribing physician, stating your diagnosis, medical necessity, and exact dosage.
• Original Packaging: Keep medicines in their pharmacy-dispensed containers with your prescription details clearly visible on the label.
• Hand Luggage: Always pack your controlled medications in your carry-on luggage with a small buffer supply for unexpected travel delays, never in checked baggage.
• Quantity Limits: Bring only the amount needed for your specific duration of stay. Carrying large or multi-month supplies can trigger strict legal scrutiny under Turkish drug enforcement laws regarding trafficking thresholds.
